Terms and conditions
Last updated 10 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Yellowtag (yellowtag.io), a subscription service that finds Facebook Marketplace listings priced below what the same item has sold for on eBay. By creating an account or using Yellowtag, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
“Yellowtag”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of the Yellowtag service, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@yellowtag.io.
2. What the service does
We look at public Facebook Marketplace listings near the postcode you give us, compare each one with what the same item has actually sold for on eBay, and work out the likely gap after fees and postage. We show the deals that look worth a closer look on your dashboard, and we can send you an alert when one appears.
Yellowtag is an information service. We do not buy, sell, store or ship any items, we are not a party to any sale between you and a seller or buyer, and we do not handle payments between you and anyone else. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Facebook, Meta or eBay. Those names belong to their owners.
3. Our figures are estimates, not advice
- Sold prices, fees, postage and profit are estimates worked out automatically. Prices change, listings are removed or sold, and an item that looks the same may not be (condition, accessories, model variants, faults).
- We do not promise that you will make a profit, or any particular amount. Please check every listing and every sold price yourself before you buy.
- Nothing we show is financial, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for your own buying and selling decisions, for staying safe when you collect items, for following Facebook’s and eBay’s rules, and for any tax you owe on what you earn, including any duty to report trading income to HMRC.
4. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date, including your postcode, which decides where we look.
- One account is for one person. Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- When you create an account you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. We record when you agreed and which version.
5. Subscription and payment
Yellowtag costs £9.99 a month, billed in pounds through our payment provider, Stripe, and renews every month until you cancel. We never see or store your card details; Stripe does. There is no contract and no minimum term.
You can cancel at any time from your account, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge you again after that. If a payment fails we may pause your access until it is resolved.
If you are a consumer in the UK you have the right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of starting it. By subscribing you ask us to start the service straight away. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we will refund you, less an amount for the days you have already used the service. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before any change to the price takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Alerts
You can choose to receive alerts through a ntfy topic or a Discord webhook that you provide. We send alerts on a best-effort basis. They can be delayed or missed (for example if a listing is gone before we see it, or a third-party service is down), so please do not rely on them alone. You are responsible for the channels you choose. Anyone who knows your ntfy topic name can read messages sent to it, so choose a long, hard-to-guess name.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share your account, or resell, republish or redistribute our data, deals or sold prices;
- use bots, scrapers or automated tools to collect data from Yellowtag, or try to overload or interfere with it;
- try to get around the limits of your account or access another member’s data;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass or defraud sellers or buyers.
8. Where our data comes from
Listings come from public Facebook Marketplace pages, captured with our own tools. Sold prices come from public eBay search results. We never ask for your Facebook or eBay login. These sources can change or stop being available without notice, which may reduce or interrupt the service, and we cannot guarantee that every relevant listing will be found.
9. Third-party services
To provide Yellowtag we use other companies, including Stripe (payments), MailerSend (the emails we send you), Hetzner (hosting), Sentry (error and performance monitoring), and, to match listings with sold items, Google and TypeSafe (which only ever see item titles, never your personal details). Our Privacy Policy says what each one receives and why.
10. Our intellectual property
The Yellowtag software, design, brand, and the way we compile and rate deals belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the service while you have an account; they do not transfer ownership of anything to you.
11. Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using Yellowtag and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment is not made, or if we reasonably believe your use is unlawful or harms the service or other members. Where we can, we will tell you first.
12. Disclaimers and our liability
The service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost opportunities, or losses from a purchase you decide to make, and our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example as the product changes or the law does. We will post the new version here with a new date, and if a change matters, we will tell members by email before it takes effect.
